Our hearts are heavy today as we mourn the loss of life in a senseless act of cowardice and evil. We offer our thoughts and prayers to all those affected by the shooting in Las Vegas.
While this act of violence is among our nation’s worst, it will not deter out spirit. We will continue to live our lives without fear of terrorism or mass violence, whether foreign or domestic. We will work with our neighbors to help ensure the safety of humankind across this country as we continue to assert our constitutionally protected liberties. I would be remiss if I did not recognize the selfless service of our first responders. We are eternally grateful for their bravery and unwavering dedication to the communities they serve.
