- a. SB 2 signed the largest day 1 school choice endowment in the country.
- 2. Healthcare Affordability
- a. The Texas Biennial Budget funded and HB138 implemented the All-Payer Claims Database to help evaluate cost-effective care and improve state benefit plans.
- b. HB 18 helped rural hospitals stay afloat through a new grant program.
- c. SB 926 helped lower copays and deductibles.
- 3. Water Scarcity
- a. SB 7 is a historic investment into water infrastructure, dedicating $1 Billion to the Texas Water Fund.
- b. HJR 7 was approved by Texas voters to give up to $20 billion toward water infrastructure projects.
- 4. Reliable Energy
- a. HB 14 created the Texas Advanced Nuclear Energy Office and invests $350 million to jumpstart the nuclear power revolution in Texas.
- 5. Border Security
- a. Congress passed the Big Beautiful Bill which gave Texas a $13.5 billion reimbursement for costs related to Operation Lone Star.
- 6. Housing Affordability
- a. SB 15 made a statewide rule on minimum lot sizes, allowing for smaller lots and ideally smaller, cheaper homes.
- b. HB 24 reformed the “tyrant’s veto,” increasing the threshold for valid zoning petitions and allowing development to begin faster.
- c. SB 840 / SB 2477 allowed for more mixed-use and multifamily development, and made it easier to convert office space to residential.

Governor Abott and Lt. Governor Patrick have both release Property Tax reform plans. TYRF looks forward to engaging with the State Legislature to provide real property tax relief for all Texans.
