Hey there! Interested in becoming part of the Texas Young Republican Federation (TYRF)? That's awesome! If joining a local club isn't an option for you—perhaps because there isn't one in your area—you can still be part of our community as an 'At-Large Member.'
What Does It Mean?
Being an At-Large Member means you're a part of TYRF without being affiliated with a specific local club. You're still an official member and can participate in various federation activities.
Who Can Be an At-Large Member?
Anyone who can't join or form a local federated club can become an At-Large Member. To qualify, you should be between 18 and 41 years old and a registered voter in Texas.
What Are the Benefits?
As an At-Large Member, you can participate in TYRF activities and have a voice at the state convention through a delegate. However, it's important to note that At-Large Members do not have voting rights within the federation and are not represented on the board, except by the State Chairman.
Important to Know!
If 10 or more At-Large Members are in a single county, you're required to form a local club within a specific timeframe. Failure to do so could result in your membership being revoked.
So, if you're passionate about advancing the values and principles of the Republican Party and want to be part of a community that shares your values, At-Large Membership is a great way to get involved, even if you can't join a local club!
