AUSTIN (Jul. 17, 2016) – Today in the streets of Baton Rouge, LA. we, as a nation, were once again forced to look upon the ugly face of hate, as just less than two weeks ago we were shocked at the tremendous loss of life in our own law enforcement community here in Dallas.
We, as an organization, fully stand behind and support the brave men and women of our first responders and law enforcement agencies across the nation. The hearts and prayers of the Texas Young Republicans are with the families of the wounded and fallen officers this evening in Baton Rouge.
We must come together as a nation and a people to stand against hate, whatever mask it may wear, and we must work diligently toward the eradication of all racism regardless of its name or title it may bear. We are the United States of America, and just as last Thursday, we are not black or white, we are blue.
