The TYRF Convention was just held in Houston on October 4-6. The result of months of planning, the event was a wild success bringing Young Republicans together from all over the state. Special guests ranged from elected officials such as Sen. Cruz and Rep. Crenshaw to conservative media personalities Graham Allen and Andrew Wilkow and grassroots leaders Dr. Shahid Shafi, Charles Blain, and Marco Roberts. On top of all that, the National Review recorded their Mad Dogs and Englishmen podcast live from TYRF’s kickoff party!

The convention itself saw grassroots engagement at its finest. The updating of our constitution, passing resolutions regarding the values and priorities of TYRF, and election of our new leadership ran smoothly and saw the group come together to celebrate the common values we all share.

But most importantly new old friends were reunited and new friendships were forged. This vital role of our organization helps foster engagement by creating a network of support upon which we can all rely. TYRF fosters the next generation of conservative leaders and the relationships fostered at the TYRF convention last a lifetime. A huge thank you is necessary to the donors who made this phenomenal event possible, the Houston YRs for hosting, and to Kristy Bridges, the chair of the convention, who worked countless hours planning and executing the best convention the Texas YRs have seen in decades!

Also, a congratulations goes out to the newly elected Executive Committee members!
