Yesterday the Texas Senate passed Senate Bill 14, also known as the Voter ID Bill, by a margin of 19-11. The Voter ID bill now heads to the Texas House. By passing the Voter ID bill the Texas Senate has done their part to ensure every vote counts and is not canceled out by other fraudulent votes. After the House passes Voter ID it will then head to the Governor’s desk.
The Texas Young Republicans applaud the quick and decisive action taken by the Texas Senate and look forward to the Voter ID Bill getting the same timely attention for the Texas House and the Governor.
